THE NEW EAST BAY OPEN STUDIOS 2017
EXPERIENCE MORE THAN JUST THE ART!

The New East Bay Open Studios Event, formerly held by ProArts Oakland, is
now presented by Dream World Media, organizers of the international annual
Toronto Art Blast and Maui Open Studios.

OPENING CELEBRATION/PREVIEW EXHIBITION

Friday June 2, 2017

THE 16TH STREET TRAIN STATION
Historic landmark at the junction of Wood and 16th streets in Oakland,
California.
Parking is available for 200-plus cars.

Preview Exhibition
6pm - 9pm
Free (by invitation only)

Preview the artwork of over 100 of the participating artists in three different
areas of the venue. (Participation in the Opening is options for the artists.)
Pick up copies of the printed guidebook and enjoy live music, a cash bar, food
options and connect one-on-one with the artists. Each artist will have a few of
their best pieces in their own dedicated space and our guests will be able to
meet with each artist, talk to them about their work and preview their art.

After-Party
9:30pm - midnight
$15 donation requested at door to support the musicians and performers

This portion of the Opening Celebration is sponsored by Salles des Artistes, a
San Francisco-based non-profit dedicated to "Saving the Arts in the SF Bay
Area". The After-Party will be a high-energy celebration with a dance floor,
cash bar, food options and vibrant musicians and performers. Open to the
artists/members participating in the event guests.

OPEN STUDIOS 2017

NORTON FACTORY STUDIOS
3094 East 10th Street
Former paint can manufacturer hosting over 30 artists in one location,
between Derby and Fruitvale avenues, in the historic Jingletown Oakland
district.

Outdoor Art Fair & Party
Saturday June 10, 2017
1pm - 9pm
Free

We are closing East 10th Street between Derby and Fruitvale and having an
all-day open studios event outside! Twenty artist stations, a live band, food
trucks, beer garden from Ale Industries, and Red Bay Café will be open.

Open Studio Runs
Sunday June 11, 2017
11am - 6 pm
Free

Over twenty artists are participating in an informal group show in the old
Norton Factory building.
